Day 1 - Pézenas

Arrival mid-day at Montpellier Airport or station– Welcome by guide and driver

Afternoon visit of Pezenas. Discover its confidential private houses courtyards, its market on Saturdays and antique dealer’s shops.

Optional:

Discover the traditional gold-leaf gilding in a craftsman workshop.

– Accommodation near the Salt water lagoon of Thau, in the middle of vineyards

Day 2 – Wine and Sea shells

Departure with driver and guide for  a private boat trip around Etang de Thau.

From Marseillan, embark on a private boat and sail on the Mediterranean to reach Sète. Cruise on canals to discover the city and port, then reach the Salt water lagoon of Thau and discover the oyster production.

Stop at Tarbouriech oyster production center and lunch at the St Barth tasting bar Visit of the production site.

Stand up paddle ride - Creation of artwork made up of co-products coming from shellfish

To end the afternoon, private visit and wine tasting Chateau Aumelas le bas. The story of Château-Bas begins in the fourteenth century. The d’Albenas family has owned the castle for several centuries. This soil enjoys a very specific climate, that is ideal for an optimum maturation. The grapes are grown by hand, according to organic agriculture to preserve the biodiversity within the vineyards.

Day 3 - Gastronomic day

Departure with driver and guide to Narbonne – Short guided tour of the old district before going to the covered market and discover local products during a tasting.

Then lunch in the restaurant Chez Bebelle, a real institution in our region.

Drive from Narbonne to the Castle of Pennautier. Visit of the castle and gardens of Pennautier, of the winery and initiation to wine tasting.

Dinner and night in Carcassonne.

Day 4  Cooking class and Carcassonne

Drive to the nearby village of Trèbes and enjoy a private cooking class including local products of the season; lunch on the spot.

Spend the afternoon in the medieval fortified town of Carcassonne. Guided visit of the medieval city and counts' castle.

Dinner and accommodation in Carcassonne.

Day 5 - Local products

Drive to the village of Montseret to visit a honey house accompanied by the beekeeper.

Come and live a unique experience: slip into the skin of the beekeeper. The honey of the clauses offers you to share its profession. Come and meet the bees and live as close to their daily life. To facilitate the dialogue, you will go in the Garrigue to live this unforgettable experience. The morning will end with a tasting of the treasures of the beehive and around a glass of hydromel (drink made with honey).

Only for adult. All precautions will be taken to avoid the sting, However, before coming, make sure you do not be allergic to bee venom.

Lunch and short walking tour in Lagrasse

After lunch, enjoy a visit at Chateau Villemagne (traditional family-run wine estate). See the cellar, building of the 12th century, former priory of the Abbey of Lagrasse where we receive you around our wines and some regional products with presentation of our property and our way of working with family.

Visit a parcel of grape collection, the ageing cellar where you will discover prehistoric objects discovered in our vineyards.

Dinner and accommodation in Carcassonne.

Day 6 : Limoux

Drive to the region of Limoux to chateau Baronarques. During this visit, drive on a

4-wheel vehicle and discover our magnificent vineyards. (max. 8 persons – more than 8 persons: walking tour in the vineyards). All working methods used in the vineyard will be explained. You will also benefit from the most beautiful points of view of the area.

This tour will be followed by a private and commented tour of the property, the wine cellar and our sublime cellar with barrels.

Finally, taste our different wines at the sales vault, with a comparative tasting of two vintages of our great red wine.

Lunch in Limoux

Then drive to Mas Amiel, in the wine region of Maury.Tour of the old cellar. Wine tasting of old vintages paired with chocolate, surrounded with the old large oak barrels.

Dinner and accommodation in Collioure or around.

 

Day 7 - Wines of Banyuls & Collioure

Drive to the bay of Paulille. Discover the local vineyards during a Canoe tour or on a standup paddle boarding. Wine tasting and lunch in the restaurant.

After lunch, drive to Collioure and visit of the port and of local food shops: discover anchovies, Croquant with almonds, olive oil,

End the afternoon with a gourmet escapade at Chateau de Valmy. Visit of the wine cellar, wine tasting and dinner at the restaurant of the chateau. Dinner and night in Collioure or around.

Day 8 Departure

Transfer to Perpignan airport or station.

Day can be completed with extra activities according to the time of departure.

This tour can accommodate maximum 8 persons. For more than 8, some activities shall be adapted.

Day 1 - Pézenas
