Welcome to Puglia

From Bari, through the caves of Castellana and the Trulli of Alberobello, discover the region of Puglia! Rich in history and culture, come and discover these numerous sites classified by UNESCO.

Your program - 10 days / 09 nights

D1 - Arrival in Puglia

Departure from your region. Flight to Brindisi (flight reserved by you). Arrival at the airport in Italy. You will take possession of your rental car. Installation in your 3* accommodation in Alberobello. Dinner at the restaurant. Lodging.

D2 - The whiteness of the cities of Puglia

Breakfast. This morning guided tour of an olive grove with olive oil tasting. Lunch at leisure. Meeting with your local guide for an afternoon stroll through the white houses decorated with flowered balconies, visit of the village of Alberobello with its fairy tale-like houses with conical roofs called "trulli". Dinner at the restaurant. Return to your hotel. Lodging.

D3 -  Martina France and its history

Breakfast at the hotel. Direction Locorotondo, known for its wines and its circular historical center. It is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy... Optional visit to a winery and wine tasting. Continuation to Martina Franca, another jewel of the Istrian valley, famous for its baroque churches and its palaces with wrought iron balconies... Free lunch. In the afternoon, drive to Ostuni, nicknamed "the white city", walk through its terraced streets and visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. Classified as a national monument in 1940, its original shapes and its beautiful characteristic stone rose window make it a real gem. Dinner at the restaurant. Return to your hotel. Lodging.

D4 - Discovery of Matera

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, you will reach Matera, a splendor of Basilicata characterized by its troglodyte dwellings called "Sassi di Matera". Along the Strada Statale, you will pass through the small town of Massafra, where you will see the church of the Madonna della Scala and the town's ravine, which incorporates a rock church. Further on, the village of Castellaneta with its ravine and historic center is amazing. When you arrive in Matera, you will be overwhelmed by the beauty of its setting: from the top of its rocky peak, the Church of San Pietro Caveoso with its light-colored walls merges with the troglodyte houses and seems to flow into the Gravina ravine, just below. Lunch at leisure. Guided tour of the city with its maze of streets, religious buildings and houses perched on the slopes of Sasso Barisano and Sasso Caveoso. What strikes you in Matera is the grandiose architecture of the place, which blends perfectly with the aridity of its natural environment, both rough and fine. Check-in at your 4* hotel in the Fasano area. Dinner at the restaurant. Lodging.

D5  - Bari, In the heart of history

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Bari and free discovery of this city full of history with the Cathedral of Santa Sabina and the Basilica of St. Nicholas, walk in the streets of the old town where you can still see women preparing the "orecchiette", famous ear-shaped pasta... Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon on the way back, you could make a detour to the limestone caves of Castellane located 70 meters underground through galleries bristling with crystalline stalactites, they represent a real natural and cultural treasure... As an option, you could visit the White Cave, 3 km long. Dinner at the restaurant. Return to your hotel. Lodging.

D6 - Postcard scenery!

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, departure for Polignano a mare. Built on limestone cliffs, it offers several viewpoints on the sea. Start with the breathtaking view from the top of the bridge overlooking the beautiful Monachile beach, a postcard! Stroll through the small cobbled streets of the historic center, soak up the gentle way of life and the typical atmosphere that emerges... You could discover the Grotta Palazzese: it is one of the few caves that can be reached on foot. Via a narrow staircase carved in the rock, you can access the immense natural hole of almost 30 meters wide! Lunch on your own. Road to Monopoli. Lose yourself in a maze of narrow streets with white facades and admire the sublime churches. The historical center has kept its authentic charm. The historic center will lead you for a picturesque stroll to the fishing port. The setting is set: blue boats, fishermen preparing their nets, translucent water... Dinner at the restaurant. Return to your hotel. Lodging.
