Day 1  – Arrival in Paris

Arrival Paris CDG Airport.

Pick up your car at the airport.

Road to Loire valley (2hours and a half of driving- depending on your schedule of arrival)

You will stop in Orléans to visit the medieval city. (on your own)

Arrival in chambord in the afternoon.

Day 2 – Amboise castle and Chaumont

AM: Breakfast.

Drive to Amboise and private guided visit of Clos Lucé.   Amboise was one of the favorite sites of the kings of France when they transformed their country during the Renaissance.  Leonardo stayed at the Château du Clos Lucé for the last three years of his life and worked on numerous projects for the King of France, surrounded by his pupils.  In Leonardo’s Garden: Learn how nature inspired his work and experience the creative universe of the Master. Visit the rooms of the château and imagine Leonardo living and working there.

PM: Drive to Chaumont.  Uncover the enchanting Castle of Chaumont, a place that transcends the boundaries of a traditional Renaissance castle. This regional estate not only exudes historical grandeur but also serves as an Arts and Nature Center, offering visitors a truly magical perspective of the Loire Valley.

One of the crown jewels of Chaumont is its International Garden Festival, a spectacular annual event that unites artists and landscape designers around a central theme. This festival promises to ignite your sense of wonder with its innovative and imaginative garden installations. It has evolved into an essential meeting point for showcasing the creative genius of a new generation of landscape architects.

In addition to the festival, the 10-hectare “Prés du Goualoup” park, established in 2012, provides a picturesque setting for sustainable gardens inspired by the world’s major garden civilizations. This park is a sanctuary where art and nature harmonize, offering an immersive experience that allows you to connect with the profound history of garden design. Dinner at leisure.
Night in Chambord

Day 3 – Chambord

AM: After breakfast, you will drive to Chambord Castle!

Visit the castle on your own. Enter the world of the genius and discover the famous double-revolution staircase, more than 4500 art objects in the refurbished flats. The entrance ticket gives access to more than 60 rooms, to the French gardens and to the decor of the travelling court.

Lunch at leisure.

PM: Stroll around the castle by bike! A 15 km cycle route in the heart of the area open to the public will allow you to meet the treasures of the forest: flora and animals are not far! The sportier will be able to rally the surrounding sites and castles and appreciate the sweetness of the Loire.

Day 4 – Chenonceau

AM: Breakfast.

Drive to Chenonceau. The “Chateau des Dames” is famous for the great feminine figures who lived in it (Diane de Poitiers, Catherine de Medici) and for the beauty of its Renaissance gardens. Enjoy a guided visit of the interior of this elegant Chateau.

Lunch at leisure.

PM: After lunch you will enjoy a 4km-canoe- trip on the Cher River, sailing under the Chateau of Chenonceau (possible to schedule this canoe trip at sunset for another atmosphere)

Night in Chambord

Day 5  – Transfer to Paris

AM: Breakfast.

Today is your last day in Loire valley. Drive to St Pierre des corps TGV Station and drop off your car rental.

TGV train to Paris.

On arrival, private transfer to your hotel, located near Jardins des Tuileries and le Louvre Museum.

Stop at the Eiffel Tower and access to the second floor to enjoy the view on the city.

Day 6 – Market Tour in the 17^th arrondissement.

AM: Breakfast.

The 17th arrondissement is a non-tourist neighborhood. For 15 years, we have built up privileged relationships with artisans and shopkeepers. Start with a welcoming café. Then get some bread at a local and artisanal bakery before visiting a covered market and taste cheeses & bread. Then walk to rue de Levis, a famous street market in Paris. Explore our selection of food shops: from charcuterie to honey, from chocolate to pastry. If the weather is nice, we have the cheese tasting at the beautiful Batignolles garden.

What’s included: hot beverage, viennoiserie, cheese tasting with bread, charcuteries, chocolates, mini-pastry and other tastings.

Day 7– Versailles

AM: Breakfast. Meet your private driver guide at your hotel.

For a truly immersive experience in the grandeur of Versailles, we recommend dedicating an entire day to explore this historic estate. With your private driver guide, you’ll have the opportunity to make the most of your visit.

The Estate of Versailles is a sprawling complex that comprises the Palace, the gardens, the Park, the Trianon estate, and various buildings within the town. It covers more than 800 hectares, offering a vast and diverse array of attractions.

Your ticket provides access to the entire estate of Versailles and ensures you can enter the Palace within half an hour of your selected time. You’ll start your day with a visit to the magnificent Palace, where you can delve into the opulent history and architecture that defines Versailles.

Following your visit to the Palace, it’s time to venture outdoors and explore the sprawling gardens.

To make the most of your day in Versailles, you might consider renting bikes to tour the gardens or embarking on an excursion on the Versailles Canal by renting boats. This will allow you to appreciate the vastness and beauty of the estate at your own pace, ensuring a memorable and leisurely exploration of this historic and iconic destination.
