Day 2 – Emotional DDAY tour

After your breakfast, your driver guide will take you to a journey dedicated to the D DAY:

Omaha and Utah Beaches. These two names sound like tragic memories. Heart of the American sector, discovering Omaha and Utah will take you back to this glorious and scary 6 of June 1944. Imagine the thunderous bombings on the beach contrasting today with the peaceful and bucolic atmosphere. “Bloody Omaha”, called after the numerous corpses left on the beach, is a notable example of human bravery whereas Utah offers a picturesque view of the famous parachutist hung at the bell tower of Sainte-Mère-Eglise.

Pointe-du-Hoc.30 m high cliffs overlooking the sea, Pointe-du-Hoc is a dramatic historic site. Imagine hundreds of craters showing the massive bombings prior the landing. US Rangers had to climb the cliff to neutralize German canons…and found there a huge surprise. Unforgettable moment.

US Cemetery. A piece of America in Normandy. After the end of the war, in 1956, France gave a plot of land dominating Omaha Beach. The cemetery consists into infinite lines of marble and several monuments rending homage to the US Nation. Over 9000 US soldiers are resting for eternity here. Don’t miss the chapel, the visitor’s center and above all the Garden of the Missings, with the names of 1557 soldiers that were never found..

Day 3 – Mont St Michel

After your breakfast , departure with your driver guide to Mont St Michel. (About 1-hour 30-minute drive).

You will find an amazing medieval monastery set atop a giant rock base surrounded by quicksand during low tide and the sea during high tide n the coast of Brittany just beyond the shoreline so that when the tide is out the town – incredibly special place.

Enjoy a guided tour of village going up to the abbey- Guided tour of the Abbey.

PM: Enjoy the village of Mont St Michel at leisure before driving back to Bayeux.

Day 4 – Return to Paris & Louvre private visit

PM: Meet your guide at your hotel and walk to BATOBUS STATION to join Le Louvre Museum by the SEINE RIVER.

Enjoy a 2-hour guided tour of the Museum, of the Main highlights of the largest Museum of the World! There are plenty of good reasons to visit the Louvre! So many works of art to discover in this fabulous museum that used to be a royal palace! After the tour, some free time will allow you to continue the visit of the Museum on your own.

Day 5 – Eiffel Tower

Initiated by Napoleon III after an attempted attack and inaugurated in January 1875, it was after 15 years of work carried out by Charles Garnier, an architect unknown at the time, that the Palais Garnier was born. Day 6 –Versailles Exploration

AM: Breakfast,

Free morning

PM:  we will take you back to the golden age of France with a visit to the Palace of Versailles. The castle and the gardens are among the most prestigious monuments of the world’s artistic heritage and are certainly the finest and most complete collection of 17th-century French art. Former residence of “Sun King” Louis XIV, this sumptuous royal palace was home to three of France’s most illustrious kings for over 100 years. Your private expert guide will take you for a guided tour of the interior of the palace, including the King’s and Queen’s State Apartments, the Royal Chapel, and the Hall of Mirrors, a richly decorated gallery that features 357 mirrors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and crystal chandeliers.

At the end of your visit, there is free time to discover the famous gardens à la française; a 2,000-acre park designed by André le Notre with its magnificent groves, statues, and fountains.
