Enchanting country, rocked by the song of the cicadas and the scents of the garrigue, Provence is a land of poetry and gastronomy.

For a long weekend, pedal through vineyards, garrigue and lavender fields, on extraordinary roads, punctuated by stages to fully enjoy the true Provence.

Free or accompanied by a guide by bike, live a cycling adventure tailor-made, off the beaten track, to discover the treasures of our terroir.

Your place of residence:

• The Castle of Mazan:
• Elegant 18th century building, Le Chateau de Mazan welcomes you in a sumptuous setting combining charm, comfort, and gastronomy.
• The head Chief, stages the treasures produced locally to be enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the park in summer or in the lounge, the former Marquis de Sade’s former showroom former owner of the castle.

Program

Day 1: Arrival at the Castle of Mazan around 10h

Distance: 65km – difference in altitude: + 1225m (Distance and adjustable drop)

Briefing on the stay and preparation of bikes

Departure for an afternoon of bicycle near mont Ventoux adapted to your level

On the return stop at the Château Pesquié for a wine tasting.

Lunch possible at the castle, optional our team can arrange a transfer to the restaurant of your choice

Night at the Château de Mazan

Day 2: Tour of the Dentelles de Montmirail and wine villages

Distance: 75km – Elevation gain + 900m – (Distance and adjustable drop)

 By bike through the vineyards of the Côtes du Rhône around the Dentelles de Montmirail, accompanied by your experienced guide

En route, visit the small hilltop villages of the Massif des Dentelles de Montmirail.

Suggestion for lunch: L’Oustalet Gigondas

Night at the Château de Mazan

Day 3: From Comtat Venaissin to the Pays de Sorgues

Distance: 60km – Difference in altitude + 640m (Distance and adjustable drop)

 You leave the foot of the Mont Ventoux towards Pays des Sorgues for a getaway through the Monts de Vaucluse which will take you to Fontaine de Vaucluse then Isle sur la Sorgue.

Lunch on the Sorgue, visit the Isle on the Sorgue, the Venice Provençale. Our team is at your disposal for your reservations if necessary

In the afternoon return by the plain and the village of Pernes les Fontaines

Day 4:

Distance 65km – Elevation gain + 1788m (Distance and adjustable drop)

 Morning departure for the ascension of Mount Ventoux by Bedoin, The classic of the classics!

Late morning, return to the hotel tasting the beers of a local brewer craftsman.
